  • Replace injectors while 3.1 intake is off?

had to pull the intake on my 1994 3.1 with 101215 miles due to a bad oil leak at the bottom near the thermastat.Since i went thru all this work should i replace the injectors at a cost of about $80.00 plus o-rings?the car ran rough even after plugs and wires.havent checked ObD1 codes,O2,ERG, or others yet. Thanks Chris.

i dont know where you are getting 6 injectors for only $80. they certainly wont be factory pieces. i priced new ones from a gm parts supplier and they were like $88 a piece. your better off having them professionally cleaned. www.witchhunter.com, i've sent two sets of injectors to them and the turn-around time is great.

I'd have them sent to one of those pro cleaners like suggested above.

if they aren't cracked, look really really really carefully, have them sent to a pro cleaner, spend the money having them match them. If not be prepared to buy some expensive ones from GM.. if you are looking at aftermarket.. order extra, have them matched send the ones that aren't as good back. I had a few issues out of the Accels.

Thanks for the suggestions, I went ahead and left them as they were and reinstalled the intake due to time limitations and $. Chris.
