Gas Leak From Intake

I have a friends grand prix at my house because it wouldn't start the other night. It has the 3.1 multi port v-6. the problem is that gas is pouring out of the intake through the throttle body. I'm slightly confused as to why. any help, suggestions or past experience greatly appreciated.

I decided to edit instead of post again. I just checked the vacuum line that goes from the fuel pressure regulator to the throttle body. I unplugged the line and turned the key on, when the fuel pump kicked in it shot gas out of the line. Is that a positive sign of a bad fuel pressure regulator?

Yeah, I'd pretty much say that his FPR is shot.

FPR deffinately was the problem. I called the repair shop to humor myself, $239 just for the regulator, autozone $85. taking a baseball bat to the car, priceless!
