  • 93 3.1 flooding?

i replaced my 90 3.1 with a 93. i've done plugs, wires, coil packs, icm, fuel filter and pump. before i did new plugs and wires the engine wouldn't start. however, the past three days (not including today), it would start and run until i shut it off. afterward, if i tried to start it again, it would crank but not start.

someone on w-body suggested it was possibly flooding. please help! i need to get this car on the road again. thanks in advance.

Well did you check if it had spark and fuel. If both aren,t there try crank sensor. If it is flooding (check fuel pressure ) it could be a fuel regulator.
I\'d rather push a CHEVY than drive a Ford!

it's got spark, and the line has fuel in it. i'm not sure what the actual pressure is, but this is the same fuel pump that was running my previous engine perfectly and it still has less than 1000 miles on it. i don't know that it's flooding, that's just a suggestion i got from someone else. also the cranks sensor is plugged in secuurely, but i'm not sure if it's good or not.
