There should be 3-4 screws on the edge of the housing. I've had my airbox out for so long I can't remember exactly what they look like or if they are hidden in any way. I'll see if I can't find a pic or something that might help out.-Brad-

Is it the 3100 or the striaght 3.1L MPFI?
If its the MPFI, I know for a fact that there should be four screws (one on each side) of the box (unless they changed it from 92 and 96). Easiest thing to do is also disconnect the air hose (make sure nothing goes down it though that wont be good)
If it is a 3.1L MPFI, i can snap one for you. Just let me know.

Super easy. You should have the ROUND airbox with the air duct that goes to the engine ON TOP OF THE BOX. If that is the one that you have, then remove the airduct from the top of the airbox (should be just a clamp that unscrews with a screwdriver). Once you get the duct off, there should be a WINGNUT under the duct that holds the lid down (you can't see the wingnut, or any other way to get the filter out without removing the duct from the top of the box. Once that is out of the way, the nut should be right there. Just remove the nut, and the top comes right off).Taylor
