Okay so I borrowed a friends cheap Actron PocketScan 9125 to see if there were any codes on my 2008 Uplander 3.9L LZ9. 0 codes were stored yet but under "I/M Status" it says that 4 are 'Ready': misfire, fuel, comp, and catalyst.
I've never used a pocket scanner like this (used to datalogging software on imports) so I'm unsure what it means to have 0 codes stored but to have 4 'Ready' stats. Does this mean there are 4 things I need to look into?
I'm working 12-14hr days 5 days a week so no time to drop it off for a proper diagnostic around here. Getting about 50-75 less miles to the tank than it usually does as of late and running louder and rougher (seems to be intake noise) above 3500-4k rpm when accelerating. NO leaks or noticeable issues.
Any input is appreciated from those who understand this scanner language!
