I'm in the middle of a LIM job on my '96 Buick Century. I bought it new, and it's all original except for a LIM job done under warranty back in 2002.
I managed to intercept the LIM gasket leak before things got out of hand.![Razz](https://www.60degreev6.com/vb5/core/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)
So, ordered the "problem solver" Fel-Pro PermaDryPlus LIM gasket kit MS 98004T.
I downloaded documentation from Fel-Pro (FPO-0308-150). A pretty good document, and so I was able to determine I definitely have the small port 3100 (155-160 hp).
The problem is, the gaskets appear to be larger than the stock GM all plastic gasket. I definitely have the 98004 gasket, it's stamped on the gasket. But, the ports seem to be 1/8" taller. The locating pin is located properly.
Anyone else notice this??
There's no smaller option from Fel-Pro. The 98003 is for the large port 3100 and the 3400.
Should I be concerned?
Thanks,
Ken T.
