  • heater line from lower intake

this weekend the lower intake gasket finally went on my cutlass, fast forward though the weekend right now, the car is running, but i have just one catch. The heater hose from the new lower intake is leaking on the welds were they mounted the tab. I am trying to locate a new one, or at least part number so i can repair this and tune the car.
    Many thanks

You could JB Weld the crap out of it or cut the pipe leak out and clamp on coolant hose.

Or buy a throttle coolant bypass pipe replacing the leaky pipe.

The coolant system only goes up to 15 psi range, many temporary sealants should work until you get a more permanent solution.

Maybe even break off the tab and slip some hose over the leaky spot and clamp down.

Thank for the suggestion of cuttin or slipping the hose over, i will eventally replace the whole line, but time is a concern (isn't always with our daily drivers) on a good note car fired up nice and clean and when she was warm reved very well, sounded like a whole new beast.

I rerouted my heater line due to custom exhaust work. Couldn't have it too close to the turbo and the hot side exhaust.

Glad the engine runs nice. Tuning is fun imho.
