  • Clutch/Pressure Plate Alignment

I am working on putting together a 3.4 to swap into my Fiero. I have the new clutch and pressure plate installed on the engine but was sent the wrong clutch release bearing so am waiting on that. I installed the clutch with the alignment tool and then bolted the pressure plate up. The pressure plate seems to be 1-2mm off center when compared to the clutch. This is my first clutch so I am not sure how they usually look. Does this sound okay? I'm not sure how to center the pressure plate any better since it has 6 bolts holding it to the flywheel.

If you centered the disc with the pilot tool and used the dowels to locate the pressure plate you should be good to go. Are you sure it's not the way you are looking in between the fingers giving you the illusion that it's off?
