I am going to get the cylinder heads replaced, I noticed that the inside of the coolant reservoir looked like it had dirt in it.
Background: I was having issues with overheating, which we though was because of the nasty coolant. It was having frothy white junk on the top of the cap, and the coolant reservoir tank looked like it has dirt or whatever in it.
I replaced the UIM/LIM gaskets because we had a leak in the LIM gasket, I went with it leaking and filling it up for about 3 months. After that was fixed, the headgasket started to have a leak, which I ran for 5 months while I saved up the money to get it fixed, it actually failed before I was ready.
I am wondering if replacing the water pump core would be a good idea while they are replacing the cylinder heads?
I think all the hoses should be fine, I do not see any cracks or anything in them.
