  • POWER VES - (Variable Effort Steering) LEAKS

HELLO, GAOWNERS didnt want my thread on their website apparently, so i decided to come over here for help...

please do not remove my post, as i truely need help...

i have replaced my power steering pump 5 times, i repeat, 5 times !!!

first two times the pump shaft broke clean off and i lost all power steering. NO LEAKS

third time the pump went bad, it started to whine really bad...

i replaced the pump and pulley and transferred my VES sensor over to the new pump

NO LEAKS, but a little bit of whining from the pump, had air in the system...

found a bad O-ring @ the reservoir to the pump, removed and replaced no whining.

started leaking two weeks later, and found the high pressure line had a leaky o ring as well.

replaced o-ring, and it continued to leak... replaced VES sensor ($200 dealer part) and whole valve with O-ring - still leaked....

now im 6 32 fl oz PS fluid bottles, two VES sensor valves, and 3 power steering pumps later, and im STILL LEAKING !!!

took everything apart today, and it appears to be leaking right @ the VES sensor high pressure coupler and between the rotating coupler and the VES nut

i know there is an O-ring on the VES valve where it screws into the PS pump, but i have replced the sensor and valve as a whole, and the O-ring itself with a factory and a aftermarket O-ring

    PLEASE HELP ME !!!!

    That's insane!

FWIW I hope you figure out your problem. I can't shed any light on anything for you, but I can assure you that with a post like yours no one is going to delete your thread. This forum is for the members by the members, not a pissing match like most other GM V6 forums. BTW, welcome
