  • Question : Replacing 2-wire OPSU with 3-wire

While swapping a 1994 Camaro 3.4L into my 1981 Chevette I busted the 2-wire oil pressure sending unit. I have a known-good 3-wire OPSU that I would like to wire up in its place.
I've googled without luck for this info, anybody have the specifics for this?

Thanks Brad, but that's for heated oxygen sensors.
I'm referring to the oil pressure sending unit, like this one.

Wow, duh... Was reading it on my phone why watching something on TV, and just saw 2-wire to 3-wire and assumed O2. Sorry....

scooter, how is a 3 wire opsu better than a 2 wire? Does the pcm get a signal with the 3 wire or something?

The way I understand it is that the 3-wire OPSU can send a signal to both the PCM and the gauge... but the real reason is to save some money.
I already have a good 3-wire OPSU, might as well use it if I can
