  • Undercoat everything?

Ok so my retta is stripped down for the winter.

I did my best to de-rest the cradle, control arms, rear axle, sway bars, and brake brackets.

Now that ive primed and painted the parts should i cover everything with undercoating or no?

    Pros/cons?

Undercoat is ideal for surfaces being hit with rocks and stones, and is only good to put ontop of sealed surfaces that are bare metal, primed, then painted, and possibly cleared, if the surface isn't properly sealed, using undercoat will rust everything out faster and worse, because you won't see the rust till the coating or metal falls off. If it's a show piece it's a bit harder to clean sometimes, and sometimes not. Also if it has to be removed, most under coats are tar based, so it's a PITA to clean off after. It's all things to consider.
