Does anyone know why when I turn my oil pressure drops to 0. I have a 94 z24. Or how power steering would affect oil pressure.

You don't describe how violent the turns are...is this as in a normal right and left hand turn...or does it involve something off-road or related to racing? In some cases, the angular momentum of turning and the tendency for things in motion to stay in motion... your oil as a liquid can pile up against the inside of the crankcase...sometimes this is sufficient enough to expose the oil pick up screen to air. When that happens and air gets sucked into the pick up tube...the oil pump will cavitate momentarily...causing your oil pressure to drop to a do-nut hole. In rare instances...this phenomena can be caused when an unsecured (not tack welded on) oil pick up tube has loosened enough to fall off of the oil pump and drop to the bottom of the oil pan. The oil pump can the only pump motor oil that it can scavenge when the crankcase is full. But of course, when the vehicle is in a turn and the inertia draws the oil toward the direction of the turn...it sloshes away from the pick up tube...and cavitation can occur. If you want to diagnose a dislodged oil pump pick up tube... the next time your are doing an oil change, take a "Dead Blow" hammer and rap gently on the center bottom of the pan. If the oil pump tube is off and laying in the bottom of the pan...you will hear it bouncing around from the imparted energy from the light hammer taps. If this is what has happened... changing the oil pump will save the motor from self-destruction.
