  • Crank sensor question

    1996 Grand Prix SE 3100v6

    EDIT:
Had to edit, I had a brain fart. Yes, there are 2 CKP senors.

Better question is where in the heck is the other one? I know the one behind the balancer.

Advice finding and replacing this thing? I hope it isn't a pita!

Jack up the car on the passenger side, stick your arm however you can (tie rod hole, under control arm, whatever) and feel the "back" of the block (really the side). 10mm nut holds it on, then pull it out. has to be done by feel due to the huge 4t60-e.

        Thanks guys.

Another part I must order now. And I thought I had it all...lol

At least it is somewhat cheap.

I decided to get a cherry bomb as a resonator before my flowmaster 40's

Reason being...ever seen one of these.... link

A spark plug non-fouler over the downstream O2 and call it cooooool...lol

I'm sure you all understand, it's a part I want replaced now since I'm already neck into the grease.

It figures it has to be another crawl under the car kind of thing. Oh well, it goes with the territory

Actually, it seems I could reach it from above when the heads are off, which they will be soon.

          Thanks for the pic Rob!
