my g/f's '96 GAGt started acting up one day, and i assumed it was the MAF sensor, and got the MAF cleaner and sprayed the shit out of it...then found out that could still hurt it as well..so this im thinking is a big OOPS on my part, but its now running REALLY rich when you first start it up, with black smoke, and missing badly. Then it will clear up for the most part..but still run really rich and use A LOT more gas than it should be. We are getting a MAF code, but i just want to make sure this would be the cure to the problems listed above, i need the car for a 400 mile round trip next weekend. I thought when they went bad it wouldnt run?!?!?!...appreciate any input..thanks
also, if anyone around SE michigan has one laying around they wanna get rid of...lemme know
