  • Question : Kinda a double question

    My bro just bought a 92 prix with a 3.1L in it. Car is in great shape and was maintained well. As murphys law states its been about 2 weeks now and he went to start it the other day no go. I went over and checked it out. It clicks out like a dead battery, so charged it up for awhile same thing. Smashed starter while cranking same thing. went to turn it over and was TIGHT, turned it back though and got it almost a full revolution, so not completely seized. turning it back let it crank until that same spot. Turned the motor back a couple of times and cranked it, on time it got past the tight spot and came around again to stop. So i'm thinking valve bent or something in the motor. Is this common on 3.1's? Any help, im gonna open it up this week to see whats up.

    Second if it needs heads or something how hard and what mods need to be done to make the 3400 top swap work, and or how hard is it to direct bolt a 3400 into a 92 prix, I know its a obd1 car and the 3400 is a obd 2 engine.
