  • Removing the distributor blank.

I want to finally fire up my over-a-year-long Trooper 3.4L SFI swap project. But I want to prime the oil system first. I can't seem to figure out how to get the distributor shaft out. Is there a trick to it? I took off the retainer of course, and I can spin the top of that thing around all day long, but how do I actually pull it out?

It will take some force. The o-ring is pretty tight in there. Channel-Locks/Vice-Grips seem to work good for me with some wiggling/pulling.

Yeah, that was my problem. Needed bigger vice grips. I got 'er out. Thanks!
