I found another problem on my car.... (they'll end someday, I swear). I was looking for a place to route my amp wiring before I found out how from someone else on here who was kind enough let me in on his secret. While I was looking though, I found what looks like it was a vacuum line where the hose broke off. It was pretty close to the center of the firewall. About 4 inches down from the alternator and maybe 1-2 foot over in my 96 GP SE sedan. It has a number on it and I googled it and tried autozone.com and everything else I could think of with no results. The numbers are RE47 and just below it 10080332. Does anyone have any clue as to what this might be for? Thanks for any advice or input.

Sounds like the vacuum line to the Evap canister purge solenoid. It should go to a small black thing attached to the back bottom of the aluminum bracket that the ICM and coil packs are on. I know mine liked to just slip out of it and I pushed it in and then put a zip-tie around the rubber where the plastic tube went in and it helped keep it in there.
This evap solenoid has 2 vacuum tubes going into it, and an electrical plug. It looks/feels like there should be a third tube connected, but it's just a bulge, so if you feel that don't freak out thinking there needs to be another connection.sigpic New 2010 project (click image)
