I dont know why.... or if its normal after installing a CAI. but my car seems to now be acting sluggish during normal 1st and 2nd gear. Once i punch it to it accelerates fast er now than it used to and i'm getting horrible gas milage. Someone suggested that my car may be running lean..... Any help on this?

Where is your IAT now located, and is it plugged in?

Excessive oil from the filter can gum up your Mass air flow sensor resulting in poor performance. CRC makes a cleaner available at the parts store or you can use electronic parts cleaner. GM even has a bulletin about this. I would almost bet that is your problem.

if the mass air flow sensor gets gummed up enough you may also start experiancing transmission problems, such as late and overly firm shifts, loss of lockup, and downshift bump.
