RWD 3.1 DIS conversion

So I am in the Process of collecting Items for a DIS swap on my 85 camaro with a Rwd 3.1 upgrade and wanted to know if these engines came with the provision to plug in a crank sensor to run DIS. Just wanted to know if I could go this route or if i would have to get an external crank trigger.

since the 85 never came with a 3.1, and you swapped it in, it depends on the year block that you swapped in, if it has the provision for the sensor or not. Pretty sure most rwd 3.1 did not have it, and it wasn't until the 3.4 rwd block came along that they all had the provision

Engine is out of a 90-92 firebird pretty sure.

It does not. The only RWD (longitudinal) 660 to have a crank position sensor or provisions is the 3.4 from the F-body. External crank trigger is needed.
