head thresds - exhaust bolt holes

Have a damaged threaded hole for an exhaust manifold bolt in a lx9. Probably going to use a helicoil for repair. Any vender/site sell them?
1.25x8 correct?

If theres a better alternative thats easier dont hold back posting that info up!

M8x1.25 IIRC I got my helicoil kit from NAPA... I just did all 12 since they were getting loose from repetitive assy and disassembly.

I bought the kit that had the tap drill and insertion tool, you may want to get that and then order a set of inserts from McMaster, you can pick length from them as well if you feel the ones in the kit don't have enough thread.

I was going to pick up the kit at the local parts store. Come with 12 inserts, tools and I think they sell a pack of four just incase more are needed.

I would hope they are long enough for the purpose. Kinda wouldn't make sense if it were not long enough.

Wtf is up with manufacturers jipping where the essentials are needed?

It's not a matter of jipping, they just make inserts in different lengths and the ones included in the kit may or may not be long enough for what your doing.

It just seems lately everything being bought has a low quantity & is out of stock and the junk/less desired items (in general) are overflowing falling off the shelf.
