Can someone tell me what car or truck this engine came from? The number on the block is 2HL207299. It was in a Triumph Stag when I bought it. I am going to put it in an MGB.

I am not certain we have a way to decode those numbers. But if it is a 2.8L and has iron heads then it would be from an S-10 or Camaro1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma

Is there any other numbers around that? I want to say that that may be part of the VIN, and not the engine code.-Brad-
