Starting issues

After putting the battery in my trunk, i wanted to see if I had enough juice to start my car. Well here's the problem...since the battery has been unplugged for a while the computer reset itself, so getting the car to start and run on it's own was difficult. I would turn over, fire and die. The car failing to start is not the problem here...while I was trying to get it to fire, everything just stopped...nothing!!! What have i done? There are no lights, no bings... nothing! Is it possible that i screwed up the starter solenoid?

Please help!
