  • my malibu has arrived

Took a while, and I didnt get exactly what I wanted. I ended up buying a 99 Malibu that was owned by somebody around the corner from the shop. Got it for 800 bucks. It's getting a professional interior detail on Minday because it's fucking disgusting inside... the wheels were alloy stockers, but horrible looking... I threw on some 18's and it brought it a little closer to my vision. It has to be lowered of course. I have my large ports all ready. Shame too, because they just paid to have the intakes sealed!
No picture of the engine bay... just a small port 3100 for now. I painted my new intakes white for some reason... guess im not expecting oil leaks or dirt.

Old rims and tires... not the mud-flaps... good for ten horse

    Oh sexy stock rims!

Got these second hand for 600 with tires... match the car color nicely

I'm so happy to have a Malibu again... now I gotta slam it and do all that motor work I've been dying to do. Motor has 150k miles... pusin it, but fuck it, my last Mali had wayyyyy more and ran like a champ.

Monte Carlo is now but a distant memory... other than these:

paid 150 off e-bay, plus another 42 for duty to get them across the border... now i decided to dump the monte and now i need to dump these.. im always buying and selling cars though... i've just driven a shit load of stuff since I sold the green malibu.

P.S. they fit 95 to 01 Monte Carlo and Luminas 100 bucks to anyone, you ship. the plastic coating isnt even off them.. only took pics

Yea, those wheels made a DEFINITE improvement. Slam it, tint the windows, do your motor/trans work, maybe some tasteful graphics or a pin stripe, interior detail and you're done. Would love to see the interior when you get it cleaned. Nice car dude, good for the money too!

What are you doing for a drop? Like 2" front, 2.5" rear or 2" all around or what?

im gonna lower it as much as is practical... i should get some pics of the nasty welfare interior before it gets over hauled...

as far as wheel size isaac, i was looking for 17's originally. Now that I have these on there though im sold... they arent too flashy ya know.

Yeah, I wouldn't have guessed 18" just by the picture. They do look nice.

                  not sure what you mean...

anyways... i took the guys word for it that the tires were good... about 90% tread he said in the ad. They looked ok at his house when i went... i look at the treads and ran my hand over them. i felt feathering... well... i said,
"do these make noise going down the road?"
                  he said,
                  "no"
HA! they sound like a wheel bearing is on its way out. they definately need to be changed. they Bridgestone Potenza tires...SHAT to be feathered with that amount of tread.
I ordered some for Monday... not looking forward to mounting 225 45 18s
