Cleaning up a 3.4

I plan on putting my 3.4 from an F body and its 5sp tranny in a little Hillman Husky to make a little Hot Rod that can not break the bank and have more than enough power. Mt problem is the 3.4 is not the most attractive of V6's in my opinion but if I clean it up with a another UIM will I scrifice power? Also where can I get a pulley kit that only would drive the Alternator, AC and Fan? What would it take to go to a HEI ignition and what would all this do to my power?

Sand down the emblem and the texture. Polish. Throw on some chrome Edelbrock valve covers and it will look awesome.

Paint the whole engine like I am doing. Go with Edelbrock valve covers or some from a Fiero.
