  • 3500 MAP sensor bracket part #?

i was wondering if anyone here knows the part number for the little bracket that holds the map sensor on a 3500 UIM? i want to know it before i head over to the local chevy dealership.

    thanks

No clue, IIRC mine didn't have a number on it. It would be simple to bend one out of sheet metal and drill a hole. It just goes over and rests on top of the sensor with an 90* angle to keep it from rotating. It doesn't really clip into the sensor's bracket or anything. Just puts pressure from the top on it.

i guess thats what im going to do then. wanted the "factory" look but if it holds it, it will be good enough.

      thanks

Paint it black for factory look! I'm going to paint the bracket black even though it's black anyways, just to clean it up a little.

You could probably just leave it off... I forgot to put mine on at first and it was fine.

It's only there so the sensor doesn't turn around and pop out if you screw with the wiring and pull on it. Mine doesn't really push down on it at all really.
