Just got the new 2.8 engine in the 88 blazer...and it does the same thing the old engine did. Runs good until you punch it, it almost stalls out...then comes to life. I had to use the old throttle body/injectors that has over 200K. I put a new fuel filter on. Could this be a sensor, or injector, or even a fuel pump problem? Thanks, Brian

It could be the fuel pump, wouldn't hurt to check fuel pressure. The problem sounds like what happens when a carb doesn't shoot that extra bit of fuel in when one floors it....could be the injectors aren't working as well as they used to considering they have over 200k miles on them. Having the injectors cleaned could fix it, but thats just my guess.
