  • crankshaft casting numbers needed!

I bought a lot (like 285!) of crankshafts that had been machined and not claimed over the last 20+ years. Owner had put them in dry storage and new guy sold them for scrap value. (Which is what I did with the American Motors 6-cylinder cranks)

I've searched until my fingers hurt and have identified many of them ( like a CAT starter engine and a Buick straight 8 ) but I'm still trying to sort out the good from the junk.

So my question is does anyone have a good list of the casting numbers for 60 degree engines, especially the ones that are special (or garbage)?

I'd be glad to email anyone an Excel spreadsheet of the list if they want to check what I've found or look for nuggets in the scrap.

    Thanks

Ill take a list. 981 is the only casting I can think of that you are likely to have that is worth anything for a 60V6. 3.1,3.4 DOHC., 3100 and 3400 use the same crank casting. Not sure on the 2.8 numbers.
