  • Alternator wiring???

I am putting a alternator off of a 90's motor on a carbed distributor motor.. I was wondering what the 2 brown and pink wires that come off the side of the alternator do??

Not sure exactly, but I assume your stock plug has a brown wire and red wire? The red wire goes to the red wire on the later connector, and the brown wire goes to the middle of the smaller wires on the later connector.
I don't know what the others are used for. Some applications use all four, some three, some only two, and I've seen GM trucks that only used the small brown wire

Ok, that makes sence I just got a clip with 3 wires(Big red, small brown/white stripe, and solid brown) instead of the 2 wires( small pink, and small brown).. i was going to try it with the solid brown first but the striped brown is in the middle so mabye ill do that one first...
