  • Other half of my hybrid project

    Well went to the junkyard and picked up the other half of my project. Got a really good deal on this motor this time too.







    Not the exact motor I wanted, the one I picked out was in G6 and only had 2k on it... this one was from a Malibu an had 4k... the G6 motor was still in the car so I would have had to come back after they pulled it another day... I figured this is getting head work so why do I need the 2k one. Also since I got my 2nd motor from there he dropped the price from 500 to 400... thats a friken deal!

    Engine stand pics, and my 3400 short block wrapped in cling wrap to keep the moisture off of it and then wrapped in a sheet.

      Its a daily driver, I live in New England, I like my AC, and I dont want to deal with an external crank trigger... I'm sure there are other tweaks I'm forgetting too... a 3400 block is more plug and play for what I want to do.
