Just installed a Phantom Grip in my transaxle. Overall I notice the steering is heavier, and from what I can tell both tires do light up at the same rate/speed, also the directional stability is improved . They say allow 500 miles for total break in. I did this because I actually check my differntial frequently and this is my 4th one I've had to throw out due to the pin and spider wear. I can't stress enough the damage that is done mainly at the track during burn outs. I hope the Phantom Grip will help to keep my differential safe as I shouldn't have to keep replacing these carriers. Also a while back I have installed a sun gear by Sonnax for the 3.33 fdr. This gear is supposed to be more durable than stock and I have to say it's true. the last few gears I've removed were always pitted to some extent...

I agree on the burnout. If you are doing 1 tire fire then thoes spider gears are spinning around at twice the input speed. They simply are not designed to do that. It creates extreme damage. The point of a spider gear is to walk around the side gear durning a turn. Not spin a single tire up in smoke.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma
