4t60 oil temp sensor question

How's it going, I am a newbie here, and just looking around a little, maybe someone here can help me out.

I got a tranny temp sensor for an Autometer Z-series gauge I am trying to install. The car is a 1990 turbo Grand Prix.

which tranny line is the one going out or away from the tranny? I looked under there and one line is pointing down and away, the other one points toward the motor comes right out the side of the tranny.

if memory serves, usually it is the one that attaches on the bottom of your rad. or a messy way to find out is disconnect them both and crank up the car
