Well, i can tell you that ours might see a dirt road, but nowhere off road... It's a 2WD, not even driven in the snow.... It works good on the street, especially with the recent axle rebuild (the bearings and gears were trashed!). Competent handling too, with bilstiens and energy suspension goodies, i don't think i'd want to drive it without the G80.

I have no idea what the new truck (2002 GMC) has in it, I know it's a limited slip of some kind and the axle is a Dana 60 .

If it is a limited slip it is a clutch type

If it is a limited slip/locker it is the G80 Gov Lock

Yeah, i know that, I just dont' know whether the new one has a torsen type or a clutch type... I don't think it would be too good to have a locker with Quadrasteer LOL!

The only thing with a TORSEN today is the SSR. Thats it.

ok, i researched the T2R, and its definitly the way to go, they can be built with or with clutches, and the lockup can be tuned pretty nicely with the preload springs from what i've been reading. So I think thats going to be the ticket for drifting goodness.
