The 1992 Prix (LQ1/5spd) .. I bought the cheap clutch and Advance Auto Parts .. not having too much luck with it.

Wondering what you fellows chose to use. Stock setup and all .. Ever hear of "ZOOM" ?

Just need something to last .. I don't know how I due it, but on my Prix, I can't seem to keep the throw out bearing intact!

Any advice is good advice .. So let me know! THANKS!

There are a few clutches that are identical as far as manufacturer, different "brand" name. I think its advance that is the cheapest around 200. Same thing...so I dunno why you are having issues with it.

I have the $200 clutch from Advance Auto in my 284 TGP. It's already starting to slip a little when it's warmed up and I only have around 5000 miles on it. I was going to go with a SPEC clutch but I went cheap so that I could buy some other things(new clutch master cylinder).

I still got a 6 puc sprung hub Clutchnet disc for the 284 should somebody want it. As for the TOB, you sure you putting it together right?

I am using a pretty much stock clutch on my white car, forgot the brand name, and it is working fine, even with my driving and a few thousand miles on it, 9k IIRC. No slipping, etc.
