Getrag 282 in 93 Prix

I have a 1993 Grand Prix GTP LQ1 with the GETRAG 284 .. I was wondering if the GETRAG 282 is a direct drop in, or the mounts, halfshafts, or anything different?

Reason I ask is what I want to do is swap out the 284 in favor of the 282 .. any info is helpful

one is a push the other is a pull, but they both bolt up fine...itll be fun to see how long the 282 will last...

You know the gearing isnt that great for an LQ1 right? I mean...itll be a little better than an auto Im sure...but youll be dissapointed if you've been driving around in a 284 unless the 282 is off of a high output quad 4

I dont think the axles are the same but the parts store can verify that for you. The cables are also supposed to be different, for how they attach to the trans.
