can i use the auto c/v on the passanger side if i change the part that slide in or is it too long?

No, they have a different spline count.

On the w-body, the 3.4 4t60e drivers side is the same as both 284 axels. I say just the 3.4 version of the 4t60e because I have heard that they got thicker axels.

I re-used my drivers side then swapped in a shorter shaft into my passengers side 4t60e joints (just cause I knew that they were already in good condition)
