  • Rebuilding 4t60e

I know this issue has been touched on many times but all that info left me confused to a degree. My 92 Lumina Z34 with 210k miles on it now has a trans that has begun slipping after a filter change. My question is basically what parts are needed to do are build/upgrade and where can I get them. I'm not gonna do the rebuild myself but my ultimate goal is 450+ HP and I know a stock rebuild won't hold up. I'm also willing to look into a ready performance trans. Any help would be appreciated

Seeing how you have to outsource the work already it might be cheaper for you to buy a ready to go trans from say http://www.importperformancetrans.com/gmautofwd.shtml OR contact Jeff at EP I know he will build you one as well. www.engineered.net

If you aren't going to build it yourself, I highly recommend Jeff at Engineered Performance. You can probably call him and he can send you a transmission ready-built for a swap. He is gifted and has a passion for powertrain machinery, which I have seen in person. He's in it because it's his passion, as much as for a business.

I do my own transmission work, but I have 3 of his limited-slip diffs.

          Sincerely,
          David
