    4t65e has an intermittant delay into shifting into 4th only when cold after a couple of up and down shifts it is ok. Can you offer any suggestions? already went to AAMCO they suggested total rebuild for 1???

    You can certainly take the channel plate & valve body out with the transmission (http://60degreev6.com/content.php/13...lenoid-upgrade) still in the vehicle. It's a lot easier to inspect or drop off for work that way. (Assumes the problem is related to the VB, solenoid or pressure switch.) Since you're not having any other problems it doesn't seem to me (in my very limited experience) that you have problems with oil pressure, etc.

    Did they even check for diagnostic trouble codes?

      No they did not check those and that is what really made me wander about just jumping into a transmission overhaul. The fluid that was drained out looked as good as the new fluid put in with no metal particles in the pan or anywhere NONE!

        Did they change out the filter? What is the milage?
