I just bought a 96 monte carlo ,3.1 engine was recently changed and it doesn't shift at the right point. It shifts at about 3 grand from 2nd to drive. I've tried to read the forum and see posts about tv cable. any help is appreciated.

Is it posible that something is out of adjustment or happened when they changed the motor?Comment

there isn't anything that can be adjusted that changes shift points... unless either the VSS or TPS is out of whack, in which case, the dash would show the wrong speed(VSS) and your 2-3 shift wouldn't be the only one that's messed up, they all would be.
