Question : HM282 old style diff

I know back around '88 or so the HM282 had an older cast diff, anyone know how strong that old unit is?

I remember the Fiero guys breaking them but i think that was behind some pretty healthy engines..

I thought that was also because of unequal length half shafts binding the diff?

Could be but that's still a problem with the later ones as well. The '88 Beretta Jackshaft tube is the best fix for that.
