I had a hays super truck clutch installed in my 2.8 '89 s10 blazer. The flywheel was turned .015". The clutch master and slave are both new. The problem is the slave cylinder doesn't seem to have enough travel to move the pressure plate. I don't know if the flywheel has be resurfaced in this vehicle before. Everyone I have talked to locally recommends shimming the flywheel. As of right now the shaft on the slave cylinder has been extended to make the truck driveable. Does anyone have some ideas? Thanks, Jason

When I worked on a Sonoma and had the flywheel resurfaced my machine shop guy said to shim the flywheel. You either need to find out what the right thickness should be and subtract what yours measures and by a ship equal to the difference, or buy a new flywheel (which hardly would have cost me any more than the shim and resurface $$$).-60v6's 2nd Jon M.
