I have a 1996 3100 with a 4T60 that I pulled out of a Lumina. I would like to remove this transmission and install it to another 1996 3100 that has a blown 4T60. My question is how to get the torque converter bolts out. Does one access these through the starter hole? I see the bell housing bolts (the one on the back as well) and the bracket on the passenger side, what else needs to come out? The engine and transmission are out of the donor car, so access isn't an issue.

yes acess is througg the stater hole.. take out the starter.. use a screwdriver to put in the teeth of the flywheel to hold it down.. let it rest on the trans while you have your 18mm wrench to bust loose the t-converter boltsRobert
