  • Help Building A 3.73

Will a 4T60-E code 6CUW out of a Grand-Am with a 2.4L fit into a 97 Grand-am with a 3100. Then if I take the differenial out of the 3100 trans and put it into the 6CUW trans it should give me a 3.73. Are the 2.4L 4t60-E transmissions built the strong as the 3100's? DO the bell housings have the same bolt pattern?

the bellhousing bolt pattern is different. also the 4 cyl version will be built a little weaker.

The 95 Grand Prix GTP's had a 3.43 FDR 4t60-E with the 3.4 DOHC. You'd have to find another diff to get it up to 3.73 though.
