ok i had the 3.73 gear swap done and on the highway im getting a p1870 code... trans component slip. i was warned by someone on the DHP forum that this code could show up from the swap without correct adjustments in the PCM. now i could just diable the code and prevent the computer from entering a limp mode, but would like to get it adjusted correctly....
Now i have the following options as for adjusting for this:
i can adjust the Drive_sproket_Ratio (value of 1.78 as told that the pcm doubles the true value so it would be .89)
or i can adjust the Calculated_Pulses_per_revolution (value is 33.64 pulses/rev)
the original gearing was the 3.43 and now it is 3.73. any help or insite would be great.
