  • All Wheel Drive GrandAm???

I've been kickin this idea around for a while now. Anyone try to rip the Tranny Components from a Olds Silhouette All wheel drive and stuff them into a GrandAm??? Tranny seems the same with the exception of where the "Transfer Case" saddles the snout of the tranny for the 4 Wheel drive. Any ideas/suggestions greatly appreciated.

a newer awd van would work, however they all use the 4t65e. you may be able to use the diff and diff housing on your 4t60e. this would allow you the proper drive for the transfer box. the driveshaft would be custom, and you would need the rear suspention, diff and axles from the van. the biggest issue here is the van would be wider. you may be able to use an awd 6000 diff if its the exact same gear ratio as the diff in the tranny.

the 6000 awd tranny is specific for that car. its not like you could swap some parts around and make your tranny work, its an entirly different case altogether.
