Turbo Grand Prix .. which tranny ?

Hey .. Looking to invest into a 90 Turbo Prix .. I heard they all come in autos. Wondering what kind of 5spds mate to the 3.1 .. I have a spare GETRAG 284 for my 92 Prix with DOHC .. would that work or is the 282 what Im lookin for ?

I'm doing a getrag 284 swap into a TGP, but I haven't worked on it in about a month. I have everything I need and I have already have the automatic taken out. I haven't found any problems as off right now, but I haven't really started putting it together yet as I just got done doing a turbo 3.1 swap into a Euro Lumina. Most people will tell you to just go with a 282, but I would guess that it's your choice. I'll keep you updated as of any problems that I may run into as I should start working on it again this weekend. The only real fabrication is that you need to make a turbo support bracket since the one from the auto trans won't be reuseable. Also, there was a guy on w-body.com that had a stick Z34 with a blown engine, and he was swapping in a turbo 3.1 3X00 hybrid.

282 or 284 both will work you need the pedal master slave lines and switches for it to work
