were there any changes to the 4T45E trans from 02 to 04, i.e. software or internals, because i wanna rebuild one and put in place of mine in my GT, it is starting to mess up, but its the only car i have so i cant just pull it and overhaul it.

yeah, there's differences. I think starting early to mid 03, a few of the solenoids are different. I want to say the line pressure regulator, and the 1-2 shift solenoid; not entirelly sure. Possibly the valve body might have some small changes, but I doubt it. If you want to do a stock rebuild, see if you can't get the master overhaul kit from either GM or some really good supplier for tranny shops.N-body enthusiast:

well ya im getting the blue plates from raybestos, the billet accumulator pistons from superior and im tryin to get the LSD from EP, (but they wont contact me back...so ill just keep tryin.) and im just getting a paper kit from transtar(cuz i get a discount). but even if the solenoids are diff as long as mine comes with the wiring harness also i should have any problems right, i mean they all use the same signals from the pcm, at least i think. see i can get an 04 with 9 miles on it for about 675 and the 02 is 650, so i figure if they fixed anything and made it better, then i should go for the extra 25 and get the 04
