ive heard that you can get rid of the horrid monoleaf spring for adjustable coilovers? anyone know if the make a kit for this or if i can go buy a set of kyb adjustables for the car all the way around and put them in with some modification and get rid of my monoleaf i do some autocross racing and the monoleaf just doesnt satisfy also does anyone know where i could get a rear strut and front strut bar to add in to this mix to help stiffen up the car i found a universal fit 2 point b piller bar that my buddy had in his maxima that fit with some minor modification that helped with the body roll a little bit im just looking to be able to attack coners and and scream down windy roads with no problems i already have the engine built up nicely just need to upgrade the suspension now

Well one thing that would make things easier is attacking some punctuation. Cutlass convertibles had front strut tower braces stock. I believe a member on here that goes by the name Aweb makes rear braces. KYB makes adjustable now? The last place I knew where to get adjustable struts was Koni, and they stopped making them long ago. Twindualcam.com and Fast Forward Performance used to sell coil over kits, but both are long gone.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

if you want it to handle better without braking the bank on coilover setup i would do:
* KYB struts
* Front and Rear strut bars (few people make them)
* Addco Rear swaybar w/ Monte Carlo Z34 brackets
* Polly control arm insterts (W-body.com has the wright up) and Polly Swaybar bushings
* Trailing arms (ZZPerformance, BMR, Ect.... Dorman makes a OE replacement that is Tubular)
* 1997+ Grand Prix GTP lateral links (tubular rather then stamped steel)
* Suspetion Techniques front lowering springs
* Replacement Mono Leaf (can someone help me remember who makes the lowering leaf repalcement?
* Better Tires... I ran a 235-55-16 that handled MUCH better then the stock 225-60-16.. firmer sidewall but still drive well in weather and i ran stock 16x6.5" wheels w/ no strange tire wear.
All of this can be done for relativly low cost.... You can also pick and choose what you want to do..

Birchmount makes a steel (heavier) lowering leaf spring for the rear for whatever height your looking for.
I have front intrax springs made for the W-body group buy from a 95-99 monte carlo
and a rear birchmount spring made for a 2.5 drop.
Perfect combination for my car, came to be almost dead even.
Car stock when i got it
After Intrax only install.
After Brichmount Lowering Leaf
