is there a differance in 94-95 front strut then the 96s gtp. the problem is i replaced my right front strut housing and i notice that the brake caliper doesnt seat as close to the rotor as the left one. this is causing the brake pad not to be all the way onthe rotor . so i guessing the later model gtp used larger rotors like 11in in which the mounting holes for the caliper would be different right ? should i just change the left one and go with the larger rotor or stay stock ond find astrut housing from a 94 95 gtp my gtp is a 94

The strut is the same but thats just the cartridge. 96 does have larger rotors but I dont know when the switch was made. I think it was on the monte carlo first in 95. You will need the rotor, caliper, and pads for a 96. Id go with the larger rotors if you have to swap one of them out anyway.Ben

In 'mid 95 they went to a bigger front rotor on all W-cars. The only thing you need to do that change is the cooresponding strut housing assembly and the bigger rotor itself. The caliper, pads, and mounting braket are the same. ITs a worthwhile change.Lorenzo
