    Hello
I hope I am not alone here in Europe with my V6 US cars.
    I own a 90` 3.1 CELEBRITY Station and a 92` Pontiac SUNFIRE Convertible.

If you also own a 60°V6 GM, post it !!

Welcome! Is the Pontiac a Sunbird? Or did they call it the Sunfire over there back in '92? Here, the Sunfire name wasn't used til 1995.

My sister recently got back from the Munich area. She took pictures, it looks like a very nice place to me!

Sorry , You are right. It is a SUNBIRD. Some GM cars have different sale names in Germany, so here the Trans Sport is a Chevy.

Munich is an amazing city but the cost of living is very high and we pay
about $ 3,35 for a gallon regular gas.

A economical 60°V6 engine is there a good choice.

Regarding European members of this forum, I know there was a few... one being a Finnish guy, I don't know if he's been back to the forums since they moved though.

Hey how's It going in here. I am From the States but I am stationed out in Italy. So I guess I am in this section of things

I am an owner of a 1993 Grand Prix SE. I also own a 1969 Camaro RS and a 1988 GMC 4x4 Seirra back in Carlisle, Pa out side of Harrisburg.

Yeah, that's the Finnish guy I'm talking about.

JW Hilz, what engine/trans does the Sunbird have? And what trans is in the Celebrity?

The Sunbird have a 3.1 MFI/ 3T40 combo and the Celebrity comes with a 4T60.
The Station is my "Winter car" and is special painted for rust prevention.
The paint is namend ´Eisenglimmer` (iron glow) and ordinary used for bridge railings and street lamps. The surface is like a shark skin and extreme durable but looks fine.
I have little trouble with the Celebrity because there is no "Closed Loop" operation.
The Cel. is an ex Army and was not catalyst.
The pre owner installed cat and oxygen sensor and wiring. Thats all o.k.
I can see the O2 sensor output , the running time and coolant temp on my scan tool.
But the System is always "Open Loop".
                Have someone an idea ?

I would guess that the computer chip in the car is not setup for closed loop. I kow there are a few for canada too, so most likely a simple chip change would allow it to use the O2 and go into closed loop.

Yesterday I changed the Mem Cal with one from my first V6, a 88` 6000 Safari 2.8 MFI .
                    A code 51 was set.

So I think I be in need of a matching chip for my Cel.
